D2.1 – Report on analyses of motorcycles accidents databases

This deliverable describes the outcome of the analyses performed on a number of National statistic databases on motorcycle accidents integrated with the analyses performed on three in-depth motorcycle accident databases available to the consortium: DEKRA, GIDAS 2002-2003 and MAIDS.

D2.2 – Technology evaluation and effectiveness

Each partner makes available to the consortium the status of the art technologies in the field of active, passive and preventive safety in order to realize a comprehensive safety concept vehicle. Although the main safety system selection is implicit in the project consortium definition, a state of the art analysis of safety devices in automotive field is presented, limited to the technologies realistically applicable on a PTW.

In the D3.1 chapters, detailed specifications about of the most promising technical solutions to tackle the major issues of improving the vehicle active systems and dynamic controls, of limiting the access “to and use of” on board information systems and of improving rider comfort were described.
